Conditions for visitors

This is a summary of the visitors' conditions of Museum de Vier Quartieren dated 9 March 2000, as deposited with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) on 30 March 2000).

Welcome to Museum de Vier Quartieren. In order to make a visit here pleasant for all our guests, the following visitors' rules apply in the museum. We kindly request you comply with these conditions during your visit and wish you an enjoyable time in our museum.

General

• Any instructions by the host or hostess should always be followed.
• The visitor is obliged to show to the museum's host or hostess the entrance ticket and any cards or vouchers which give discount on the entrance price, if requested to do so. If the visitor refuses, access to the museum will be denied.
• Once an entrance ticket has been obtained, it cannot be exchanged. Nor can the money paid for the entrance ticket be reimbursed except in the event of an unannounced health and safety drill or a calamity necessitating the museum to close.
• The objects on display may not be touched unless explicitly otherwise indicated.
• Parents and carers of children are always responsible and liable for the behaviour of the children they are accompanying.
• Running, shouting and any other form of annoyance to other visitors will not be tolerated.

Visit is on your own responsibility and at your own risk

Your visit to the museum is on your own responsibility and at your own risk. The museum is only liable if damage and/or consequential damage or injury suffered by the visitor are directly and exclusively a result of intent or gross negligence on the part of the museum. Only damage for which the museum is insured will be considered for compensation.

Wheelchair

There is one wheelchair at the entrance which may be borrowed.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the museum, with the exception of guide dogs.

Food and drinks

Bringing food and drinks into the museum is not allowed.

Smoking

Smoking is forbidden in the museum.

Photographing and filming

You are permitted to film, and take photos, as long as they are for private use. However, some of the objects on display are sensitive to light, so use of a flash is not permitted. No photos, video or film recordings made be made for commercial purposes without prior consent.


Theft, loss

Museum de Vier Quartieren is not liable for loss or theft of or damage to personal property. 

Lost and found

Any items found in the museum by the visitor can be handed in to the host or hostess on duty at the time.
